The brief

The task is to create a music video that is up to 5 minutes long. I will also need to create a a six panel digipak for a CD release and a magazine advertisement for the digipak. I will then finish of by producing a critical evaluation for my work. 

There are a lot of things I need to consider when before constructing my music video: 

What makes a good music video ?

• An interesting concept or story line 
• Lip Synching 
• Mise en scenes: Props , setting , hair and makeup , costumes  
• Fast paced editing 
• A range of interesting shots and camera angles 
• Appropriate performers  

What should you consider when planning a music video ? 

• Is the message of the song being portrayed ?
• Who is the target audience ? 
• Where will it be set ? 
• Who will be the performers and do they have the right image and style ?
